All roads lead to Trenton ...

We're conveniently accessible via the NJ Turnpike, I-95, 1-195, I-295, Rt. 1, Rt. 29, Rt. 130, Rt. 206, NJTransit, SEPTA, and AMTRAK.

Mill Hill Park is easy to find, just print these directions and keep this map handy:

Mill Hill Park is the bright green spot approximately in the center of the map. For those of you who require spatial orientation, North Warren St. as it runs alongside Broad St. in the center of the map is perfectly aligned to North, just as the town's founders first drew it.

The main entrance to Mill Hill Park is at the intersection of South Broad and East Front Streets. Use that location for any map searches you perform.

VIA MASS TRANSIT:

We can't overemphasize how EASY IT IS to get to Trenton via mass transit. Any town located on the Northeast Corridor can reach Trenton directly; towns located on other New Jersey Transit train lines north of Trenton can reach the Northeast Corridor and Trenton through Rahway, Newark or the new Secaucus Transfer Station. For more information, visit

From Philadelphia and its suburbs, Trenton is the terminus of the R7 regional rail line. Transfers from other SEPTA lines can be made at the 30th St. Station. The R3 line does end in West Trenton, but we don't recommend that as bus service from this outlying station to downtown is sketchy at best on Sundays.

Camden and other Burlington County river towns have a new and totally fabulous way to reach Trenton: our new light-rail Riverline. It's all of $1.10 one way, it's a wonderful, comfortable, scenic ride, and it's also accessible to Philadelphia riders via PATCO and to southern New Jersey riders via PATCO and the Atlantic City regional rail line. Details can be found at the NJTransit website.

From the Train Station to the Park

It's a twenty minute or less walk from the train station to the park. The short, unscenic route, which we don't recommend because of traffic, is to walk from the station to Rt. 33/Greenwood Ave., and follow this under the Rt. 1 freeway, then up Mill Hill. Turn right into Mercer Street (this part IS scenic) and walk to the end; you'll be at the southern end of the park. Though it's maybe a third shorter in distance, this route puts you alongside a very busy highway, with street crossings that are frequent and risky.

We recommend that you walk out of the front of the station to your left, then forward up S. Clinton Ave. so that you pass in front of the famous Pete Lorenzo's Cafe. Go about a block on S. Clinton along the cemetary past Magowan St. to E. State St. Make a left onto E. State, and keep walking past the Clarkson Federal building on your right and the EPA on your left, until you pass over the Rt. 1 Freeway. Trenton City Hall is now on your left. S. Montgomery is the second street past City Hall; it's not marked on the map on this page, but it's the street that runs parallel to and between Broad and Stockton. Turn left onto Montgomery. Mill Hill Park is one block down Montgomery. Enter the park here or walk along the wall to Front and Broad, where you can make your donation.
